Black Out Day

We had a cool day on Friday supporting our All Black team. Everyone dressed for the occasion and then joined in the fun activities. Here are some of the highlights.

Rugby World Cup Welcome Words

You may have seen some large words in parks and on hillsides around the city over the past few weeks. These were made by schools to welcome all the participating countries to the Rugby World Cup. TGS have an entry in the Welcome Words competition welcoming the Russian team. Over term 2 and 3 an enthusiastic intermediate group of students helped me to come up with ideas, make and organise the pieces for others to participate in the making of this mammoth word of 14 letters and each letter measuring 3m x 8m.
