The following documents are produced by the Ministry of Education to support parents.
They are well worth a read, as they give you information about what learning at school looks like, as well as what you can do at home to support your child with their learning.
It is important that you keep in mind that this information shows you what children should be able to do at the END of their first year or second year of learning. All children learn at different rates and our curriculum is not a "one-size-fits-all" model. All children are taught according to their learning needs, regardless of their year level classification.
