Buddy programmes (student support in the classrooms).
Exciting extra-curricula activities for students e.g. Choir, Music Classes, sports, dance, homework club etc
Strong emphasis on Information and Communication Tools (ICT) with students having regular access to extensive computers, digital cameras and other ICT tools.
Technology classes onsite in our Poutama Centre.
Additional student trips to enhance English and New Zealand culture.
High expectations for student learning assignments
Successes to date:
Students leaving the school after increasing their reading ages by seven years e.g. Year 7 student leaving with 12-year old reading level.
Annual International Student Day to celebrate success in the community.
Annual trips i.e. visited Rangitoto Island in 2005.
International student involvement in school choir, school production, sports, etc.
International students representing the school in speech and maths competitions. 
International Student Support:
The Language Support Teacher/ Special Needs Co-ordinator is responsible for developing high quality programmes with the teachers and teacher aides. Alongside the classroom programme and the additional work and support of the classroom teacher, these students will also be given extra support in the following areas.
