Maungawhau

  Our Maungawhau Team consists of three classes:

  • Ruru 1 (Year 4) – Patisepa Tala’imanu, Team Leader
  • Kakapo 1 (Year 3) – Carolyn Grace
  • Ruru 2 (Year 2) – Tamara Jones, Carol Booth-Kent
Working alongside the Motutapu Team, we believe our teams enables us to utilise our teacher expertise and our students’ skills across the Year 2 to Year 4 levels. As the ‘stepping stone’ between the Rangitoto and Maungarei Teams, we aim to foster Self-Management and encourage our students to be independent thinkers.
 
2010 has started with a BANG!
 
Expectations have been set – individually, as a class, as a team and in regards to homework, at home. Our students AND teachers are enthusiastic!
 
This Term:
  • We have made our classrooms our own – come and check out what we’ve been doing!
  • We can tell you “What’s with Water?”
  • Our mathematical researchers can share the results of their Statistical Investigations
  • Our Years 2 and 3 enjoyed learning about Pou Kapua during their “Dancing with Mythology” workshop
