Maungarei Team 2011

The Senior Team of Year 5 and 6 students consists of 5 classes; Kakapo 1, Kakapo 2, Takahe 1, Takahe 2 and the e-Learning class, Ruru 2.

We aim to ‘Strive For The Best’ in all aspects of school life, ensuring we put our best foot forward and begin to develop independent skills.



Our focus over Term 1 and 2 is looking at ourselves and cultures. We went on a trip to the Howick Historical Village in Term 1 to experience what some of our ancestors life may have been like. We are finding it very interesting to find out about our family history and learn about other cultures in our school.

Some classes have a Wikispace in which students can use to go to bookmarked sites and publish their work.
