I have lived & taught in South Auckland all my life. I attended a number of primary schools in the Manurewa area, going on to James Cook High School. After my college years, I applied for a number of different vocations, being accepted to all four institutes. I chose Teachers College in Auckland. Why a career in teaching? Everyone said I was good with children (I think they were just being nice because they wanted a free babysitter!). Also, when I was growing up I wanted to be tall – obviously that didn’t happen! 
I taught at Wiri Central Primary School for ten years before coming here.
I am married to Max and we have two sons, Ethan aged 7-years and Noah aged 4-years. I play tennis, netball & touch rugby. 
I am enjoying teaching here at The Gardens School. You can find me most days working with the ‘Wacky Wekas’ in Weka 1.
