Welcome to The Gardens School!

Our beautiful South Auckland School caters for Year 1 - Year 8 students and is nestled between Totara Bush and the Botanical Gardens in Manurewa.

We are a decile 10 school and we draw our students primarily from within our enrolment area. We have strong foundations of literacy and numeracy which underpins all other activities.

We have very attractive facilities, including a large hall and purpose built technology centre, and our school grounds remain open out of school hours for community use.

We see the education of children as a partnership between home and school. We value parent input and invite parents and caregivers to share in the development and progress of their child/ren at school.

We aim for our school to have a friendly, caring and family-oriented environment. We believe our key to success is happy children, motivated to learn, and parents feeling comfortable to join in the learning process.

We aim to provide a range of challenging learning opportunities within the classroom and beyond and to enable the learner to develop his/her own individual potential. We believe in educating the whole child – intellectual, cultural, social, emotional and physical – in exciting and creative ways.
